In Cape Coral, Florida, Taylor and Michael Kusmierek are bringing new light to outdoor living. As owners of Artistic Visions Lighting, they have turned a family legacy into a thriving Southwest Florida business dedicated to transforming outdoor spaces with custom, energy-efficient lighting designs.
For Michael, this path began long before moving to Florida.
Growing up in Valparaiso, Indiana, he watched his parents build the original Artistic Visions Lighting from the ground up. Their passion for outdoor and holiday lighting made a lasting impression. “As a kid watching my parents start this business in a small town in Indiana, I grew a passion for entrepreneurship,” Michael says. “When I moved to Florida, I wanted to follow in their footsteps and reopen what they started.”
Twelve years ago, Michael and his family made the move south. “The warm weather, gorgeous sunrises, and beautiful sunsets make Florida feel like home,” he shares.
“Watching my wife and little ones swim, explore the outdoors, and enjoy the sunny days makes this Florida experience worth every memory.” That sense of joy and connection to the outdoors now shines through in every project Artistic Visions Lighting completes.
The company specializes in landscape, pool cage, dock, driveway, and holiday lighting. Their designs don’t just brighten properties, they create outdoor experiences. “We don’t just install lights,” Michael explains. “We create outdoor environments that highlight the beauty and character of each home.”
Each project begins with a design consultation, where Taylor and Michael work closely with homeowners to understand their goals and preferences. From there, the team crafts a custom lighting plan using top-quality fixtures built to withstand Florida’s coastal weather.
